Getting kids off the waiting list

When we launched No Small Thing our goal was to get kids off the waiting list and onto outdoor experiences. And now we’ve started!

Our matching fund with Elevation Outdoors attracted monthly donors to support their work with vulnerable youth. More monthly donors means more predictable income for staff to budget and plan programs. The campaign was a success and attracted more donors and increased the impact of our donation by 150%!

The vision of Elevation is to support “local youth, regardless of personal circumstances, to have the opportunity to make healthy lifestyle choices and experience personal growth through participation in challenging outdoor pursuits.” For us that means creating opportunities for youth at a time when it has the most impact.

Here are some thoughts from recent graduates of their Leaders in Action Program:

"I can finally accept who I am without thinking negatively of my skills or competence in sports field." - Leaders in Action Participant

"I would not be able to maintain a job without the skills and lessons learned from my time at Elevation, I would be a much more reserved person, I wouldn't have been exposed to these activity's which I enjoy and mountain biking. Thank you guys so much for this program." - Leaders in Action Participant

As we get more wind behind our sails we will be looking for more opportunities like this to expand our impact and support more youth.
